New Sky Watcher Explorer 200P (EQ5) arrives!

The dream becomes a reality today as I unbox my new sky watcher telescope. Its a bit of a monster compared to my sky watcher 130 twice the size in fact. The pictures show the full unpacking and final assembly of the telescope this after noon. Got to hand it to sky watcher for excellent packaging of the product and happy to report that it was all in perfect working order. Even the collimation of the optics was pretty much spot on straight out of the box.

Love the shiny black and white EQ5 mount which was very smooth in operation.

All that remains is to wait now for the clouds to part so I can get outside and take the scope for its first trail run which will be my next post so watch this space..
