Light Pollution arrgh!

Despite a lovely clear night sky the light pollution from over 9 street lamps around my house made it very hard to spot the galaxy's I was looking for. I did manage to find M51 the whirl pool galaxy very faint though with the neighbors floodlights drowning it out! Never mind I was glad I was able to find it put I think this calls for a darker place to go viewing stars.
