Octobers Selection 2022

With several clear nights in October, I was able to put the new Astronomic 12nm, Ha Filter, to good use and go back to several old targets. The Eastern Viel Nebula The Flaming Star Nebula The Tulip nebula and the Tadpole Nebula. All of these were done with 3-minute exposures in Ha and RGB on average 30 to 60 of them the more the better but 30 is about the minimum amount. The Skywatcher 130pds is a fantastic telescope I like it better than my trusty old 200p, to be honest, and it's much better for the EQ5 mount. I am slowly saving up for a dedicated astrophotography camera but that will be a while yet and in the meantime getting the Ha filter and the 130pds was a complete game changer when using a modded canon 450d.
