Andromeda Galaxy first attempts

Wanted to have a crack at photographing the amazing Andromeda Galaxy with my SLR camera and here is the result. 30 one minute exposures at an ISO setting of 400. There was bright moon near by so could not get more detail but quite pleased with this first attempt. At 2.5 million light years from earth this is a wonderful subject to view on a clear dark night.

  1. Hi, Mark. I'm not sure that I have the right person, but I'm looking for a Mark Casto that used to work in comic books. Are you, by chance, that person?
